The arts of Mime and Magic are universally appealing to everyone, crossing all barriers of language and age. If anyone can serve as an example, it is Tina Lenert. She has combined silent comedy with a touch of magic to produce a most unusual and enchanting act entitled "Maid in Heaven," wherein a very sad and frumpy cleaning lady is magically transformed and finds happiness.

Her pantomime skills were honed as a founding member of the L.A. Mime Company, a talented five-some who performed at colleges and appeared on several television series. Her magic skills were developed by being a regular performer and life member of Hollywood's Magic Castle, where she was voted Stage Magician of the Year by the Academy of Magical Arts.

For the past several years, Tina has toured Europe several times, appearing in major theatres including the London Palladium and a performance for the Royal Family in Monte Carlo. She has been featured on television in Italy, Germany, Spain, Holland, France, England, Norway, Portugal, Chile and Japan.

In the United States she has appeared at Harrah's Reno and Atlantic City, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, as well a being featured on the Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and CBS and NBC Specials.

HARPIST

Tina Lenert's musical career began as a classical guitarist. Upon graduating as a guitar performance major, she abandoned the instrument and pursued a successful career as a mime-magician. About twelve years ago she returned to music via the harp. Since then she has performed her popular style extensively at concerts, clubs, weddings, cruise ships, corporate events, on MTV and an NBC special, as well appearances in European and American theatres. 

Her CD, Branching Out, is available now!  Her eclectic background is easily detected in these original arrangements.  South American roots are evident in the BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC and I LOVE LUCY and her love of magic is expressed in A PERSIAN MARKET, OVER THE RAINBOW and IF I ONLY HAD A BRAIN.   Drummer T.J. Ravel and bassist Leland Sklar join Tina on selected tracks.
